My desire here (at least at the beginning) is to spot light the word I take my screen name from. I do realize my screen name is spelled incorrectly but the proper spelling was taken.
So I will search through the LJ's posted to every one, when I see something I think falls into the category of being inappropriate, I will invite the poster to copy it here for others to comment on. I will also go willy nilly through friends, and ask all sort of random people to read this journal, and post any and all comments. I intend to use news sources and overheard conversation as starting points.
Example: A young man is invited to a formal wedding. He shows up in jeans and a sleeveless T, that shows off his many tattoos (of copulating animals). Is this appropriate or inappropriate? The bride is offended, is her behavior appropriate or inappropriate?
Further is the word inappropriate the correct word to be used in the situation where it is being applied?
Example: You (female) are fired from your job because you are late. You tell others only that the boss (male) acted inappropriately toward you. (you don't think you should have been fired) Is this the proper use of the word? Did you use the word on purpose because you are aware it casts aspersions on the boss, or cause your dumb?
So what is your opinion LJ reader, feel free to give it here in comments.
Please be advised foul language use and name calling (of specific persons) is deemed here as inappropriate!
